You’ll be treated to nature’s picture show since we frequently welcome pine martens, deer, red squirrels and an array of birds to Ancarraig.
The view of the night sky and all its dazzling stars is otherworldly – right from your balcony, and sometimes we’re even lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights from our very special location.

Ancarraig Lodges are the ideal base to explore Loch Ness and the surrounding area since Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness Crusies, The Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition and Nessieland – to mention a few – are a stone’s throw away, with numerous outdoor pursuits such as fishing, pony trekking, kayaking and hiking all easily accessible.
Glen Affric is a short drive from Ancarraig Lodges, while The Isle of Skye, Glen Coe, John o’Groats, The Cairngorms, Oban and Ben Nevis can all be reached on a day trip.
The highest peak around all of Loch Ness –Meall Fuar-mhonaidh – can be climbed right from your door and boasts spectacular views of the whole loch and beyond.
