Ancarraig Lodges provide comfortable self-catering accommodation in a wonderfully tranquil and secluded woodland setting where complete peace and quiet as well as a truly relaxing holiday is guaranteed!
Self Catering Lodges
We have a number of types of lodge here at Ancarraig, each the same size sleeping four people across one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.
Thistle: All of our standard Thistle lodges have been redecorated and upgraded since 2015, with constant improvements being made.
Rosemoor: These 4 lodges been fully refurbished in early 2016 to include USB charger sockets and large flat-screen televisions, double glazing throughout as well as upgraded appliances, features, furniture and facilities in all rooms to include upgraded kitchen and bathroom suites.
The Wood Hatch: The first of our individually decorated Lodges, bursting with character and named in homage to its creator, The Bearded Woodworker. The Wood Hatch is just the right combination of cosy cabin and funky hang-out; we hope you love it as much as we do!
All Lodges are now Pet Friendly
All of our self catering lodges have an open plan lounge/kitchen with dining table, a well equipped kitchen with conventional cooker and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, a cosy log burning stove, a bathroom with over bath shower and a private outside veranda with further dining facilities.
Bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up ready for your arrival.
Oh, and we love DOGS so all lodges are pet friendly! There’s a one-off pet fee of £15 per pet per stay.

All lodges are non-smoking except on the outside verandas.
Our lodges are raised off the ground so are accessed by a small number of steps – please check with us if you are unsure about accessibility for your party

A word on the Wi-Fi and 4G…
Wi-Fi is provided free of charge, however when many people are trying to share the same line it can be very slow and it can be heavily influenced by the weather and/or if the line of sight is interrupted - eg on windy days when the swaying trees interfere with the signal.
Please note that the internet we provide is for browsing, checking weather forecast and emails - it’s not to be used for downloading and streaming as it’s not fair to the other users trying to access the web.
Please do not book Ancarraig with expectations of super fast broadband - sadly we do not have it here in the hills above Loch Ness.
Currently the best mobile phone providers in our area are EE and Three mobile, both of whom provide brilliant 4G. Other networks have good phone signal but internet can be a bit patchy.
